In this project, we carried out an extensive renovation of two Francis turbines with capacities of 2.1 MW and 0.9 MW, along with an upgrade of the associated electromechanical and hydraulic equipment. The project aimed to increase the reliability, efficiency, and long-term operational safety of the hydropower plant.
We carried out a complete mechanical and electrical reconstruction:
renovation of the turbine and rotor,
replacement of the shaft and all bearings,
installation of a new 2.1 MW, 10 kV generator,
installation of a new cooling system,
renovation of the hydraulic unit,
renovation of the pre-turbine valve.
The work included the same scope of upgrades as for the larger unit:
renovation of the turbine and rotor,
replacement of the shaft and bearings,
installation of a new 0.9 MW, 10 kV generator,
installation of a new cooling system,
renovation of the hydraulic unit,
renovation of the pre-turbine valve.
We supplied and installed a bypass dissipation valve complete with a hydraulic regulator for safe flow and pressure control. In addition, we upgraded the overhead crane, enabling safer and more efficient maintenance of the equipment.
